Artist Statement:

 

Acrylic Paintings 2012/2019

 

 In the quiet, stillness of my soul I listen to its silence in search of myself.  I disappear in solitude seeking inspiration and a creative thought that can be brought to life on a blank canvas.

 

My paintings speak on a personal level of reinventing ones’ self, the need for strong bonded relationships and togetherness.   They behold natures’ beauty, majesty and tranquility.  They transition between isolation and being shattered, to exuberance and rhythm; they are both happy and sad….much like life.

 

I am drawn to the calm that painting brings, the escape into a world less demanding of my time and energy.  It brings positivity and reflection, purpose and direction to a life that was wandering aimlessly.
